New DVD's for the Library!

Colin's intrigue is met when Marilyn invites him into her inner world where she struggles with her fame, her beauty and her desire to be a great actress.

We Bought a Zoo (2011)

Benjamin has lost his wife. In a bid to start his life over, he purchases a large house that has a zoo. This is welcome news for his daughter, but his son is not happy about it. The zoo is need of renovation and Benjamin sets about the work with the head keeper, Kelly, and the rest of the zoo staff. But, the zoo soon runs into financial trouble. The staff must get the zoo back to its former glory, pass a zoo inspection, and get it back open to the public.

First Weekend

Don't miss our first "First Weekend" among many other firsts, which starts today! From 3:00-5:00 we're having the first ever Banks Hall Open House, there will be prizes and great food available. Then at 7:00pm there will be the new "Friday Night Live" which is a remake of our "Friday Morning Live" which is a funny play on what to expect (and what not to expect) of college life. Directly after the play will be the SGA Talent Show-come and see the talents of your classmates! Then come down to Mighty Joe's Pizza for a late night snack and some trivia.

Saturday starts off with the Hall Olympics at 2:00pm at the Lake. Get ready for some competition in the obstacle course, tug-o-war, and the Y'gotta Regatta! Then for dinner at 5:30, there will be food at the Highland Marina-Trammell's Smokehouse Grille.

Finally on Sunday, churches in the area are opening their doors for college students to come and visit.

Spirits and Traditions Kickoff

Everyone is getting ready for this weekend when we are welcoming all of the new freshman to our campus! We have a lot in store for new and returning students to help them feel more comfortable here. On August 18, we will be hosting a campus wide event on the Residential Quad open to students and faculty. There will be free food and drinks, inflatable games, big prizes (Ipad and Xbox!) and in the evening we will be showing the Hunger Games on the lawn (don't forget your blankets and chairs!) 




Not a fan of the Hunger Games? If you find time, come stop by the LaGrange Library and pick up a DVD to watch in your dorm with your new roommates! The library has a wide selection of popular movies that are available for check out.
